Sally Field, 76, is a legendary and versatile actress known for roles in Steel Magnolias, Forrest Gump, Smokey and the Bandit, and more. Despite a difficult childhood and personal struggles, she built a remarkable Hollywood career and continues acting today, with recent roles in Dispatches From Elsewhere and Winning Time.
In a December episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Field was asked about her worst on-screen kiss. After some hesitation, she revealed it was with her former boyfriend Burt Reynolds during Smokey and the Bandit, saying, “It just was not something he really did for you,” and mentioned there was a lot of drooling.
Field and Reynolds dated for about five years after meeting in 1977. Despite Reynolds later expressing regret over their failed relationship, Field told Variety she had cut off contact for the last 30 years of his life, saying, “He was not someone I could be around… He just wanted to have the thing he didn’t have.”
