Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s company, Archewell Productions, has renewed its Netflix deal ahead of its September expiration—though this new contract is reportedly worth less than the original $100 million deal, according to Page Six.
Despite the pay cut, their projects will continue on Netflix. Markle’s series With Love, Meghan has been renewed for a second season, set to release in late August, with a holiday special airing in December.
The couple is also working on a documentary, Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within, about Ugandan orphans overcoming hardship through dance, as well as an adaptation of Carley Fortune’s novel Meet Me at the Lake.
In a statement, Markle said she and Harry are “proud” of their continued partnership with Netflix and their team’s efforts to create meaningful global content.
While the couple seems unfazed by the reduced deal, the royal family might not be thrilled about their ongoing spotlight.
